"The new Dzire is bound to create plenty of excitement in the Indian automobile market", MSI Managing Director and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa told reporters here.

Its smooth sedan styling, more plush and roomy interiors, superior overall comfort and advanced safety features (details in the box) make the New Dzire even more aspirational - and desirable.

Dzire is one of the most critical models for the market leader as it eyes an annual volume of two million cars by 2020, after it sold 1.56 million vehicles during the financial year ended in March 2017.

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is scheduled to be launched in May, 2017.

While the primary focus of the all-new Dzire will be in India, it will be exported to India's surrounding countries, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, subsequently.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Tuesday launched an all-new version of its flagship compact sedan Dzire.

Warriors' Kerr returns to practice for 1st time in 3 weeks
While initially defeating the Portland Trail Blazers, the Warriors most recently ousted the Utah Jazz. Instead, it was the calming voice of ailing coach Steve Kerr that helped steady the ship.

While Maruti Suzuki claims the diesel variant of the Dzire gives very good mileage of 28.4 km per litre for the diesel variant, the petrol variant give a mileage of 22 km per litre.

Maruti Suzuki had opened bookings for the new Dzire from the 5th May 2017 that comes equipped with the auto gear shift as well in both fuel options.

According to RS Kalsi, the new Maruti will be produced only at Manesar plant for now although there is sufficient capacity available at the Gurgaon plant as well. While the petrol is lighter by 85kg, the diesel weighs 95kg lesser than the previous Dzire.

The Z trim (ZXi, ZDi) packs in alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering, rear parking sensors, fog lamps, rear defogger, keyless go, auto climate control and electric retract wing mirrors. The new Dzire also gets air conditioning vents at the rear. Importantly, Maruti is offering the new Dzire with dual airbags, ABS and ISOFIX child seat anchors as standard. The V trims also come with a music system which is a 2-DIN unit that comes with Bluetooth connectivity, USB and AUX inputs.

The Z trims are one below the top-spec and gets 15 inch alloy wheels and chrome window linings for that premium look.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the third-generation Dzire in India at a starting price of Rs. 5.45 lakh for the petrol range and Rs. 6.45 lakh for the diesel models (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
