Moto Unveils New C and C Plus Budget Smartphones Starting at $97

Moto C and Moto C Plus - The Lenovo-owned Motorola is planning to launch its two new products like Moto gS and Moto gS plus. According to Motorola's blog post, both smartphones will begin shipping later this spring in Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

The Moto C duo also take advantage of a 5-megapixel/2-megapixel camera combo plus a removable 2,350 mAh battery.

The 4G variant of the Moto C has a starting price of €99 and comes with the same RAM and storage combination. In addition, all Moto C Plus units will be 4G capable and options start out with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The phone is backed up by the 2,350mAh battery.

Additionally, the report claims that Moto X will feature a 5.5-inch display with curved 3D glasses atop it. It will also have Nougat running out of the box, along with a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz.

Motorola's latest entry level smartphones offer the users with the most basic of features, but they also come in at a very low price. The presentation photo shows a total of nine phones, including the rumored Moto X, which is said to be coming with the Moto X4 name. Around the back, there's an 8-megapixel camera rather than the 5-megapixel one available on the Moto C and although the screen size is the same (5in), it's a higher resolution at 1280x720 pixels. Knowing Motorola's ability to provide reliable and frequent updates to their line-up we expect the C range to be a great addition to the fleet of handsets now under the Moto banner. Color options for the two smartphones include Metallic Cherry, Pearl White, Fine Gold, and Starry Black. Its rear camera is also better with 8MP resolution, although the front camera is 2MP, just like the "standard" Moto C model.

The biggest difference is perhaps the battery life as the Moto C comes with a 2350mAh of removble battery, while the C Plus releases with a massive, 4000mAh battery!

The Moto C Plus works with a slightly larger display and a few other slightly-enlarged features.
