Not only that, but it does so in a significantly smaller device than the first Google Tango device from Lenovo. According to the Phandroid report, while there is very little that we currently now about the Zenfone AR - there is good chance that it will come powered a powerful Snapdragon 82X chip - unlike the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro that came with a less-spectacular Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC.

At this year's I/O Conference, Google had a slew of announcements to make, one of which pertains to its virtual and augmented reality platforms, namely Daydream and Tango. It also has a 5.7-inch QHD display, a 23MP camera, a vapor cooling system, and support for both the Google Daydream and Tango platforms. A 23-megapixel camera accompanied with two more sensors for depth sensing and motion tracking will be featured on the rear side of the handset, while its front panel will house an 8-megapixel sensor.

While the large Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass 4 display has a solid resolution, the ZenFone AR has other impressive specs too, such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 CPU and an Adreno 530 GPU.

ASUS simply says it will be available in the "summer", meaning it could launch at any point in a three-month span. Pricing is also unknown, but it will be revealed later. Verizon is the biggest wireless carrier in the USA, and so the ZenFone AR will be in front of a lot of faces when it hits Verizon's shelves.
