AccuWeather reports following isolated damaging storms Monday night, there will be a heightened risk of risky storms across the central and southern Plains late Tuesday into Wednesday.

The greatest risk for tornadoes will be in western Oklahoma and the eastern Texas panhandle. Severe damage to buildings is also reported in Phillipsburg, Phillips County, Kansas, though there are no estimates of the number of buildings affected at this time. Monday night's storms dumped heavy rain, prompting flash flooding, but Cogil says last night's round brought more damaging winds than anything else.

A severe thunderstorm went through Leaf River, Mount Morris, Freeport, Winnebago, Rockton, and South Beloit early this evening after 6 pm, causing a large swath of wind damage and large hail. Though we're receiving scattered showers and a few storms this morning, the severe threat will hold off until the afternoon and will arrive in several waves.

The main threat from these storms is very large hail in the afternoon and evening and then strong winds after dark and overnight.
