War Machine, who competed on The Ultimate Fighter and also fought for Bellator, was sentenced to 36 years to life by a Clark County (Nev.) District Court judge Monday in a sexual assault and kidnapping case involving his ex-girlfriend Christine Mackinday. Koppenhaver was found guilty on 29 felony charges back in March including sexual assault, battery and kidnapping. In 2014, War Machine broke into Mack's home in Las Vegas where he brutally beat both her and her friend Corey Thomas.

Mack testified at the sentencing hearing Monday that she fears he will come after her if he is ever released from prison.

"I don't know if my life will feel complete in 12 years or 30 years and neither do you, but I do know when he gets out he will kill me", said Mack.

Mack suffered a lacerated liver, broken facial bones, broken teeth and leg injuries.

House spurns attempt to unlock Louisiana budget restrictions
The special session will convene at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017, and it must adjourn by midnight on Monday, June 19, 2017. If this budget makes its way through the process, the need for a special session this summer will be greatly diminished.

Koppenhaver said at the hearing that he had found God and regrets every day what he has done. He called himself a "very lost, very empty person" who hated his aggressive impulses and "should have killed myself by now". "I hate that this happened".

Koppenhaver's defense attorney submitted a motion Monday for a new trial, claiming that he had been unable to prepare a case that his client attacked Mack while in a state of unconsciousness, but Cadish denied it.

Koppenhaver, whose last MMA fight was in 2013, said the life sentence he faced behind bars was not "too high a price" for his actions, and begged for Mack's forgiveness. Former mixed martial arts fighter Jonathan Koppenhaver, aka War Machine, enters the courtroom at the Regional Justice Center on Monday, June 5, 2017, in Las Vegas.

Although Jonathan may have realized what he did was wrong, the damage done to his ex-girlfriend was enormous, and the adult film actress even had to undergo facial reconstruction surgery after Koppenhaver viciously assaulted her.
