Orlando City Soccer star Cyle Larin arrested on DUI charge

The report said Larin had difficulty following some of the trooper's instructions during the field sobriety test and kept changing his answer when asked how much he had to drink, the report said.

Later, once handcuffed and in the vehicle, Larin asked the trooper if he could call his manager because Orlando City, he said, "has cops that work for us" who can "sort out the situation".

The trooper described Larin as having bloodshot and glossy eyes with dilated pupils. Larin then stopped his white Cadillac in the lane he was driving in, while in front of both cars an oncoming Mercedes was forced to stop in order to avoid hitting Larin's vehicle head-on.

Larin, 22, was arrested after driving the wrong way on an Orlando street. He was placed under arrest and booked into Orange County Jail. The team had no immediate comment.

In a separate statement, Orlando City said it is "very disappointed in Cyle Larin's actions that resulted in this charge and does not take this situation lightly". On the first test he registered a.179 and on the second he registered a.182.

A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said Larin was co-operative and "respectful" throughout.
