There will still be some scattered showers and storms around with plenty of clouds. Eyes to the skies mid afternoon as storms again could produce damaging winds. Highs will be in the lower half of the 80s. We'll also watch for the slight chance of storms developing late in central Kansas which may spill into the extreme western portions of the viewing area (Concordia).

Saturday is looking windy, much cooler and a bit damp to start, but after a few lingering showers Saturday morning we should break out into more sun as the afternoon progresses. Winds N 5-10 miles per hour.

Sunday looks to be the pick day of the weekend with sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures expected, but we will be watching another cold front approaching from the west closely.

Tropical Depression Four remains rather weak over the open waters of the Atlantic and should eventually dissipate as it moves through conditions less favorable for further strengthening due to dry air and wind shear in place that will eventually take its toll on what's left of the storm later this weekend. The humidity will persist this weekend through next week. It's going to remain warm and humid through the night with lows around 70.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Chance for a shower or thunderstorm. Models continue to weaken the depression into an open wave by early next week.

It appears that isolated afternoon storms will linger the rest of the week with lows in the mid-70s each morning and highs in the mid-90s. You can track radar and stay ahead of the showers and storms with our Local4Casters app.
