Police said one barking dog was aggressive due to heat and fear, and officials had to use an animal catch pole to get the dog out of the vehicle.

Firefighters arrived to help cool the dogs off, and after sending pages to a local movie theater, the owner of the animals also showed up.

An officer checked the temperature inside the vehicle, and the front seat registered 167 degrees.

"It's just awful and horrific how the dogs even look", Omerto-Anderson said. After freeing one of the dogs, officers discovered a second dog inside. "I mean, it's a very traumatic situation for the officer, actually and for the dogs". It was parked directly in the sunshine. They rescued both animals from the vehicle and opened a fire hydrant to let them cool off, Fox8 reported. One of the animals fell into a seizure as police went inside the theater to search for the dogs' owner.

Officers found the car's owner and her family were inside a movie theater and left the dogs inside the vehicle.

"That's just insane and freakish". Both pets are said to now be in good health, and were seized as evidence by Fulton County Animal Control. "There's no words to explain how stupid a person can be", Omerto-Anderson said. That canine ended up having a heat stroke moments later. Now a woman from the Macon area is facing animal cruelty charges. "It's just terrible and horrific how the dogs even look", Omerto-Anderson said.
