Flood and flash-flood watches have been posted for the entire Toledo area by several National Weather Service forecast offices.

Thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy rainfall to portions of southern Wisconsin tonight into early Wednesday. Local rainfall amounts could exceed 4 inches which would be enough to trigger local flooding. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area, especially of low-lying and poor-drainage areas in downtown Kannapolis.

The storms will be scattered about the area during the evening commute, with the potential of another round of heavy rain arriving by 8 p.m.
