Europa League Draw 2017-18: Schedule of Dates for Play-Off Round Fixtures

Everton will play Croatia's Hajduk Split in the Europa League playoff round for a place in the tournament's group stages.

After beating Ruzomberok 2-0 on aggregate in the third qualifying round, the Toffees were seeded for Friday's draw in Nyon.

Despite being seeded for the draw, Ronald Koeman was aware that a hard test could await his team, and the Merseyside outfit have been given one in the form of Hajduk Split.

Speaking about his desire to reach the group stages, Blues boss Ronald Koeman said: "This competition has always been important for me".

After Leighton Baines' goal at Goodison Park had earned Everton a narrow first-leg lead, youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin struck to make sure of a place in the next round.

Khan said the trapped militants fired at the troops, triggering a gunbattle which lasted at least two hours. India blames the group for a 2008 attack that left 166 people dead in India's commercial capital of Mumbai.

There were only flickers of quality from Ronald Koeman's side prior to half-time, with Wayne Rooney - on his 50th begin in all competitions for Everton - partnering Sandro Ramirez in advance.

Big-money summer signing Jordan Pickford started in goal for Everton and kept a clean sheet, though came under precious little pressure.

"I like to be in Europe - it's important for our experience".

As expected, the visitors once again dominated the ball for long periods but could fashion much in terms of clear cut chances throughout the game and with the new league season getting under away in little over a week, Koeman admits there's still room for improvement.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, finally played in his correct position, scored Everton's goal last night, but Koeman says he wants more in. "We need create more than we did".
