Manchester United are reportedly willing to trigger the rumoured £36m release clause in Sergi Roberto's Barcelona contract this summer.

Roberto made 40 appearances for the Blaugrana last season but despite being primarily a deep-lying midfielder, he was deployed as right-back last season after the club did not replace Dani Alves. Chelsea are also a suitor for the midfielder-turned-right-back and could also come in with an offer.

His finest moment in a Barca shirt came when he scored the winning goal against PSG in last season's awesome Champions League comeback win, netting with the final kick of the game as Barcelona won 6-1 to go through 6-5 on aggregate in the last 16.

Monaco are also interested in signing Sergi Roberto, according to Don Balon.

Toyota and Mazda to spend $1.6 billion on joint United States plant
Indeed, the plant reached 500,000 cars faster than any other plant in Toyota history, and previous year it won a coveted J.D. Toyota said it will take a 5.05 percent stake in Mazda for ¥50 billion while Mazda will take 0.05 percent stake in Toyota.

Chelsea, too, were looking at the player as a potential solution to the dearth of options at right wing-back.

It will be interesting to see what the young Spaniard decides as Barcelona has already deemed a player "not for sale", but saw him leave just weeks later.

Antonio Conte is desperately trying to further strengthen his squad as he knows he needs more new recruits ahead of Chelsea's return to the Champions League and Roberto would offer top class competition for Victor Moses.

The Catalans have stated that Sergi Roberto's wishes are to remain with Barca, but have also said that "there is plenty of time remaining before the transfer window closes and things can still happen".
