Battle-Cars coming to Rocket League as a Nintendo Switch Exclusive

The Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League is getting some Nintendo-themed cars and accessories as free content when the game releases on the Nintendo Switch sometime this holiday season.

For the curious, team color decides which version of the new Battle-Cars appear on the pitch. Regardless of the color, the vehicle features the Super Star boost that leaves behind a trail of stars.

Unlockable for free when the game launches, you'll be able to duke it out in a Mario NSR, a Luigi NSR and a auto styled after Samus' Gunship from the Metroid games. The Mario auto and one Metroid color design will be locked to players on the Orange team while Luigi and the other Metroid design will be locked to the Blue team. Finally, Samus' Gunship will get a Wave Beam rocket boost. The Samus vehicle will also have different colors depending on which team you are on, styled after different Varia suits.

Many have taken to criticise the newest trailer , noting that the graphics and style aren't in keeping with the PS4 generation. The teaser trailer gives us a look at Ryo, Shenhua, and other new characters we'll be seeing in the journey.

Rocket League is due out on the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Rocket League on Switch will also have some exclusive customizations. The idea of Rocket League on the go is what makes the Switch a great platform.

The first of these new Battle-Cars are named Mario NSR and Luigi NSR (no prizes for guessing who they are named after).
