Cristiano Ronaldo labels five-match La Liga ban as "incomprehensible"

The Real Madrid superstar posted an emotional message to express his feelings at the upholding of his five-game ban for pushing a referee during the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona.

Six days ago, Ronaldo took to Instagram to say he was being persecuted after his red card in the Spanish Super Cup.

The second caution was given for an apparent dive in the Barcelona area, and Ronaldo reacted with disbelief before pushing match official Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea in the back.

Ronaldo has already served two games of his ban - last week's second leg, which Real won 2-0, and Sunday's 3-0 La Liga win against Deportivo La Coruna.

"I never had a problem in England, that's why I would like to go back to England", said Ronaldo.

The Portuguese forward will now miss this weekend's match at home to Valenica, as well as games against Levante and Real Sociedad.

While Real Madrid have drawn strong performances from Marcos Asensio and Gareth Bale, it looks like the Ronaldo conundrum is only getting more complicated.

Now that the Administrative Court on Tuesday likewise upheld the ban, Real Madrid's all-time top scorer will have to wait until a September 21 match against Real Betis to make his La Liga debut this season. "Thank you to all who have supported me", he added.
