The first from the list, HTC U11, now runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with HTC Sense UI atop, whereas HTC U Ultra now operates on Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense UI atop.

The confirmation came in a response to a U.S. customer's query on Twitter whether "Android Oreo is coming to HTC 10?".

Users who have Google's smartphone offerings will get the first wave of Oreo roll outs. We know that Android Oreo will not be made available for most of the devices out there officially, but you can still enjoy the look and feel of it by downloading Android O Wallpapers, Ringtones and much more. Builds for these devices have entered carrier testing with Pixel C and Nexus Player to follow.

This fact gives a hint about when other companies will receive the Android 8 Oreo update as well and that is Q4. However, fans might have to wait to rather long for the update as the supported devices will get Android 8.0 by the second half of 2018. What is known at the moment is that OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will get the software update, as well as Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6.

According to the Android Oreo's official page, users will soon experience "2x the boot speed when powering up".
