Could Conte return to Serie A?

Casting spell over his future with Chelsea, club's Italian manager Antonio Conte has said that he is keen to return home as he does not want to "stay overseas for too long".

"Yes, it's good to have lovely experiences, but I intend to go back to Italy one day".

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has hinted he will not remain at Stamford Bridge in the long term, saying "I have in my head not to stay overseas for so long".

Speaking on Radio Anch'io Sport, Conte was asked about defending their title this season.

Conte signed a new two-year contract in the summer to end growing speculation that he meant to quit the club. "I don't know when but that's the aim", he said.

"I would never go to China, La Liga or Bundesliga but it is hard to foresee the future". I want to succeed, to finish one project and make the right decision about the next.

They have lost three in a row and four of their last five in the Linc, where the Eagles will play for the first time this season. However, he only put up 14 reps on the bench press at the Combine, so he could stand to get stronger before he sees the field.

"In the future I would also like to change, to be able to be a director, for example".

Conte also led Italy to the quarter-finals of the European Championship previous year. They live football like a celebration.

"We're back after let's call it a sabbatical year, with a lot of enthusiasm and we've got the aim to do the best in this competition, which is very hard".

His side face a tricky tie away to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday before returning to Premier League action in a crunch game with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the Saturday evening kick-off. There are practically no English managers in the Premier League.

"Roma are competitive in Italy and they can be equally competitive in the Champions League, so we've got to be careful", he added.
