Metal Gear Survive Release Date Announced For North America And Europe

Metal Gear Survive will feature a single-player campaign and a co-op mode that supports up to four players.

Metal Gear Survive is the first game in the Metal Gear franchise since Hideo Kojima left Konami.

Metal Gear Survive will be released in North America on February 20, 2018 for the Xbox and PS4, Konami confirmed on Wednesday.

Metal Gear Survive is a bit different from the other Metal Gear games, and picks up from where Ground Zeroes ends, creating a binding and interesting diversion from the core gameplay. The European release is scheduled two days after, on February 22, 2018.

Dustin Pedroia Undergoes Left Knee Surgery, Expected To Return In 7 Months
Dustin Pedroia underwent cartilage restoration surgery on his left knee this morning, reports Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe . In a press release, the Red Sox said that "it is anticipated Pedroia would return to games in approximately seven months".

Metal Gear Survive is still pegged for launch on PC via Steam, but it looks like we don't have a release date for that version yet.

In addition to the release date, the company also revealed some pre-order details, which are available for the physical and digital versions of the game.

The news comes directly from Konami's Twitter account and promises a simultaneous Xbox, PS4 and PC Steam release for $39.99 United States dollars. These items include gold-plated weapons, extra gestures, four special scarf colors, a Kabuki face paint, a cardboard box helmet, and a Mother Base nameplate. By choosing to make a side-entry with a completely daft story, Konami both avoids treading on Kojima's characters and universe and gave itself more time to decide where "proper" Metal Gear is going.
