Sony Releases an Amazing New Spider-Man Gameplay Trailer

The new footage shows off some more gameplay of the webslinger swinging through Manhattan, but it focuses more on the other side of the hero, which is his alter-ego Peter Parker.

The appeal of a Spider-Man game is letting you play as Spidey, not pressing X to see a neat cut scene. In the trailer we get some brand new looks at Mister Negative, who we assumed would be the main villain this time around, but Mister Negative isn't the only baddy we get a glimpse of. Because this will be shocking.

The Insomniac Games-developed Spider-Man title received its first gameplay footage at E3 this year, an entire year after its first unveiling.

Insomniac Games included a stinger at E3 that confirmed the appearance of a different Spider-Man entirely: Miles Morales.

I'm sure more reveals are on the way, so stay tuned and make sure you check out the PS4 release in 2018 Webheads! Now we know that Miles and Peter will be working together directly, at least in Parker's superhero off hours. We see Wilson "The Kingpin" Fisk being loaded into a paddy wagon while Norman Osborn-the mayor in this game-runs for reelection.

As for Shocker, we still have no idea how he'll fit into the story, or whether he's working directly with Mister Negative or on his own.

As a huge fan of the Spider-Man 2 video game, I've got high hopes for the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man for PlayStation 4.
