Elizabeth Warren admits the Democratic Party was rigged against Bernie Sanders

Donna Brazile, ex-CNN contributor and former interim chairman of the DNC, published an excerpt of her forthcoming book in Politico which makes the claim that the Clinton campaign and the DNC struck a deal that gave Clinton an "unethical" amount of control over the party prior to the nominating process.

She began investigating whether Clinton "rigged the nomination process" as emails hacked from the DNC and published by WikiLeaks previous year had suggested, she said in an except of her new book coming out next week that appeared Thursday in Politico.

Leaked emails from a Russian hack of a DNC server, made public by WikiLeaks in July 2016, suggested top Democratic officials, including ousted DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, favored Hillary Clinton over Sanders.

In an op-ed for Politico, the former chairwoman recalled investigating the matter for Bernie Sanders during the 2016 election season, and was shocked when she found out that Clinton's campaign had been paying off the DNC's debts for the past several months.

Brazille said she eventually discovered that Clinton had entered into a secret agreement with the Hillary Victory Fund, Hillary for America and the cash-strapped DNC that in exchange for raising funds Clinton "would control the party's finances, strategy, and all the money raised". Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had not been the most active chair in fundraising at a time when President Barack Obama's neglect had left the party in significant debt.

"If the fight had been fair, one campaign would not have control of the party before the voters had decided which one they wanted to lead".

After Mueller indictments, Tony Podesta steps aside from namesake lobbying firm
His finances included a campaign for the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine (ECMU), which the Podesta Group worked on. Manafort's broader lobbying efforts were first reported on by the Associated Press in August 2016 .

"This was not a criminal act, but as I saw it, it compromised the party's integrity", Ms Brazile said about the arrangement.

Throughout the primary, Sanders, whose populist message resonated with party's liberal base, battled with the DNC, saying the organization was showing favoritism toward Clinton by, among other things, offering a limited number of debates.

Gary Gensler, the chief financial officer of Clinton's campaign, told her the DNC was (these are Brazile's words) "fully under the control of Hillary's campaign, which seemed to confirm the suspicions of the Bernie camp".

'Money in the battleground states usually stayed in that state, but all the other states funneled that money directly to the DNC, which quickly transferred the money to Brooklyn, ' according to Brazile. The vast majority of the funds went to the national Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign.

"(Schultz) let Clinton's headquarters in Brooklyn do as it desired", Brazile wrote. Brazile, who would really like to retain her standing in the party, has knifed Team Hillary, and has demonstrated that she can be useful to the new leaders of the Democrats.

"Bernie took this stoically", she added. "And either he's going to succeed by bringing Bernie Sanders and Bernie Sanders" representatives into this process and they're going to say "It's fair, it works, we all believe it, ' or he's going to fail". "What are we going to do going forward, and are we going to build a Democratic Party that really is there for all of us?"
