Ryan Fitzpatrick to start Week 10 for Buccaneers

The Bucs are 2-6 and effectively eliminated from NFC South contention; Ryan Fitzpatrick will now be running the show in Tampa.

That appeared like it would be it for a second, but then Mike Evans came barreling in and clocked Lattimore before throwing some punches on the ground as Winston hopped into the pile as well before a teammate could pull him out and hold him back.

Winston initially sustained an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder in a 38-33 loss at the Arizona Cardinals on October 15.

Winston originally injured the shoulder last month, but aggravated the injury in a loss to the Saints on Sunday.

This will be the first time in 40 career National Football League games that Winston will miss a start.

Jags RB Leonard Fournette benched for Sunday's game
The team released a statement shortly before game time saying Fournette was suspended for the game due to a team rule infraction. Linder had been out the last three games with an illness with Shatley starting at center in his place.

The injury forced him to leave the game.

Fitzpatrick, 34, completed 8 of 15 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown in relief of Winston on Sunday. He's thrown 10 touchdowns but six interceptions, totaling 1,920 yards through the season's first half.

The Bucs host the Jets (and former Bucs QB Josh McCown) Sunday, followed by three straight road games - at the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers, all playoff teams last season and all at.500 or above now. Still, Koetter felt he had to rest his franchise QB until the joint healed better with more rest.

The Bucs also plan to activate third-string quarterback Ryan Griffin, who is on injured reserve but can return.
