Blockbuster trade: Bucks acquire Eric Bledsoe from Phoenix

The Milwaukee Bucks acquired disgruntled point guard Eric Bledsoe from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for center Greg Monroe, a future first-round draft pick and a 2018 protected second-round pick on Tuesday. Earlier, the Suns wanted to trade Bledsoe for Bucks guard, reigning Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon [VIDEO].

Bledsoe won't average those numbers with the Bucks.

Bledsoe is averaging 15.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games for the Suns this season - his fifth with the team. Monroe was on an expiring contract, and the Bucks take on Bledsoe's salary for another two seasons.

Bledsoe is reportedly planning to join the team in San Antonio on Wednesday. They also could have as many as three first-round picks next season.

Jags RB Leonard Fournette benched for Sunday's game
The team released a statement shortly before game time saying Fournette was suspended for the game due to a team rule infraction. Linder had been out the last three games with an illness with Shatley starting at center in his place.

Aside from their pick, the Suns also have the Miami Heat's pick, which is top-seven protected, and the lottery protected selection from the Bucks. It's the inevitable end to the Bledsoe saga, who had requested a trade and has not with the team since the start of the year.

Ever since Bledsoe posted that interesting tweet about not wanting to be in Phoenix, it was tough not to consider the possibility of the guard potentially ending up in Philadelphia, especially when looking at all of the insane trades made by the team over the last few years.

Bledsoe has been away from the Suns since general manager Ryan McDonough sent him home on October 23. A tweet that Bledsoe tried to say was in regards to being at a hair salon, but apparently the league didn't buy that excuse. Bringing Bledsoe back, and subsequently sending him home after his apparent subtweet, did nothing to improve his trade value. This team has been winning without Bledsoe this season and it could continue to happen, however my focus is continuing to develop younger talent, and keeping them healthy.
