Five women accuse Louis CK of sexual misconduct

In a statement to the Times, C.K.'s publicist Lewis Kay said the comedian would not answer any questions about the allegations. Rebecca Corry, an actor and comedian, says C.K. asked her if he could masturbate in front of her while on the set of a pilot for a TV show in 2005, an incident the show's producers Courteney Cox and David Arquette confirmed to the paper.

Chicago comedy duo Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov are among the accusers; they claim that C.K. took out his penis and started masturbating in front of them in a hotel room in 2002.

After telling the The Daily Beast that C.K. should "handle" the rumors leveled against him, Notaro told THR they explored sexual assault in the show because, "We wanted to show that you can be assaulted without even being touched".

Shortly before the publication of the article, Louis CK pulled out of an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and the New York City premiere for his new film I Love You, Daddy was canceled hours before it was scheduled to begin.

"It's Louis C.K., locking the door and masturbating in front of women comics and writers".

Louis CK wrote and directed the controversial I Love You, Daddy, and he stars as a television writer and producer whose teenage daughter (Chloë Moretz) is seduced by a predatory 68-year-old filmmaker (John Malkovich).

"What happened to Rebecca on that set was very bad", Cox said in an email to the New York Times, adding that she felt "outrage and shock".

Corry said that the comedian acknowledged the incident and said, "I used to misread people back then".

"I definitely wanna get out of here", Kate says weakly as he encourages her to keep talking.

After sharing what happened to friends in the entertainment community, they said they faced backlash.

Schnachner told the Times that C.K. apologized in a 2009 Facebook message.

The rumors resurfaced again in August when comedian Tig Notaro, who's worked with C.K., said she was distancing herself from him, citing the longstanding rumors of sexual misconduct. "Shameless" star William H. Macy will be the lead guest star on the episode instead. She told the Times she sat in the comedian's office, with colleagues outside the door, as he masturbated.

Louis C.K., whose comedy is crass, irreverent and upright male-centric, is notable for sex and masturbation jokes that leave audience members with side-splitting laughter, but in the awkward "WTF?" aftermath.
