At a previous UFC event in Poland, Goddard told McGregor to back away from the ringside when he was shouting instructions at Artem Lobov, who is another teammate.

McGregor should not have been in the cage under any circumstances considering he was not an official member of Ward's corner.

The UFC star was involved in a insane altercation in the cage with referee Marc Goddard at the event in the 3Arena.

The event is set to air Friday night in North America on a tape delay and Bellator is already using video of the incident to promote their product.

Bridgewater suffered a serious knee injury during a practice, in August 2016, that put him on the sidelines. Multiple reports have indicated that Case Keenum will likely start this week against Washington.

Once Ward landed that coup de grace and Redmond went crashing down to the mat, McGregor scaled the cage and went over to congratulate Ward on the win.

McGregor was restrained. He screamed and pointed in Goddard's direction while chaos surrounded him inside the cage.

It is not immediately known what disciplinary action, if any, will come from this considering that McGregor wasn't a licensed cornerman and put his hands on a referee. He leaped into the cage to celebrate but, for some reason, instead of simply cheering on his mate he started attacking the ref, Marc Goddard.

Oh, and in case you're curious about what Dana White thinks about fighters touching referees, here's what he said a year ago. Despite the numbers surely not to be anywhere near what McGregor and Mayweather did in their boxing match, the Irish star believes the UFC can make him happy in a matchup against Ferguson.
