Manushi Chillar of India clinches Miss World 2017 title

India's Manushi Chhillar was on Saturday crowned as Miss World 2017 at a grand event held in Sanya in China.

Priyanka took to twitter and congratulated Manushi for her big win. He was joined by Haryana CM ML Khattar, union minister Suresh Prabhu and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma. Among the many was Miss World 2000 victor Priyanka Chopra. It's not always about cash but also the love and respect that we give to someone.

Miss Mixico was the first Runner's Up and Miss England was the Second Runner's Up. The 20-year-old will bring the crown back to India after 17 years.

The young man was rushed to hospital in South Korea by helicopter where he has undergone two rounds of emergency surgery. It's unclear whether the parasite has been seen in other parts of the world.

An overjoyed Manushi said, "I still can't believe that I have won the Miss World title".

Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle, who had won the 2016 edition of the title, will pass the crown to the Indian beauty.
