Broncos making quarterback switch, will install Paxton Lynch as starter

After losing a sixth-straight game, the Denver Broncos (3-7) plan to make a change at quarterback, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.

The Broncos will start Paxton Lynch at quarterback this Sunday at Oakland, per multiple National Football League sources.

Lynch would start two games last season while Trevor Siemian was injured. He had a quarterback rating of 94.1 and helped the Broncos complete a 27-7 victory over the Buccaneers, moving them to 4-0 on the season.

REPORT: Paxton Lynch named Broncos starter

Interim offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave is expected to install a simplified offensive gameplan for Denver's game against the Raiders with Lynch's skillset specifically in mind. Over the small sample size, Lynch threw for 497 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Lynch is finally healthy after battling a shoulder injury throughout September and October, and gets his chance, replacing Brock Osweiler. Lynch had just three completions longer than 10 yards. Lynch went 1-1 as a starter last season and was beaten out by Siemian in training camp. The two teams also share an O/U of 1-4 in their last 5 meetings.

The Broncos are known to dominate the victory between the two however their current turnover margin of -16 is one of the main reasons why they're now 3-7 and why quarterback Trevor Siemian and offensive coordinator Mike McCoy were replaced by Osweiler and Bill Musgrave respectively. But, I talked to the trainers and the coaches, and like I said, they've done a good job so far and I feel great.
