Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who directed Half Nelson, will direct. He is also still attached to appear in a third Sherlock Holmes movie with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. He'll also be seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, playing Young Dumbledore opposite Johnny Depp (ugh) as Young Grindelwald. The significance of the film can not be understated as it is the first female solo-outing for a Marvel superhero after a slew of male-centric features. Law will reportedly take on the role of Doctor Walter Lawson, a mentor character to Larson's titular hero after she gains her super powers. In the comics, Mar-Vell is a Kree who is sent to spy on Earth to decide if it's a threat to the Kree empire.
