The Bucs (19-11, 12-4 SoCon) will face off with No. 4 Kentucky (26-3, 17-1 SEC) in the first round set for Friday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m.in Lexington. The victor will meet the Nebraska-Stony Brook victor in the second round at 7 p.m. Saturday. Nebraska also was ranked as the No. 2 overall seed when the NCAA released a preliminary top 10 November 1. Within the Big Ten Conference, the team was swept by No. 1 Penn State and No. 5 Nebraska and took only one loss from MI and Purdue.

The team finished the season on Saturday night after getting a victory against Indiana University with an overall record of 21-8 and 14-6 in the Big Ten Conference, which put them fourth in the conference. Creighton won that match in four sets. The Cougars made an appearance in the 2014 NCAA title match and have qualified for five consecutive Sweet 16's. However, in the opening round, the Cyclones will take on the Princeton Tigers on Friday, December 1, at 7 p.m.in Hilton Coliseum.

"We're excited to be hosting the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament", BYU coach Heather Olmstead said.

Texas earned the No. 6 overall seed and will host Fairfield on Friday. The Bears owns a 30-9 series lead versus Creighton, and have not played since the Bluejays left the MVC following the 2012 season.
