The Microsoft Edge browser was till now available as Beta and Microsoft has now graduated it to Apple store making it available for everyone.

If you were skittish to try out Edge while in beta, you can now go ahead and download the stable version of Microsoft's browser for Android.

I just wrote about the recent update that removed the preview tag yesterday, but neglected to mention the status change. The new mobile version of the app offers many of its familiar desktop/tablet features, including Favorites, Reading Lists and New Tab Pages.

Microsoft Edge for iOS is now available for users in the USA, U.K., China and France in the respective languages of those countries. Many of Edge's features are created to offer a seamless experience when used with a Windows 10 PC. Content and data sync seamlessly in the background, so users can browse across devices, without skipping a beat. Sadly, Microsoft still hasn't added tab syncing to Edge for mobile, so you can't share tabs or history between PC and phone. Current tabs do not sync now, but that feature is apparently on the way in a future update. Microsoft Edge for Android is available in the United States (English), Australia (English) Canada (English and French), China (Simplified-Chinese), France (French), India (English) and the UK (English). It also features voice search, a QR code reader and a private browsing mode called "InPrivate". Now it's publicly available on both app stores.

But before you click onto other INQUIRER gems, it's worth noting that the mobile Edge browser has a trick up its sleeve. Success might not be likely without a major presence on PCs, but Microsoft at least deserves some points for trying to make Edge happen.
