Soulcalibur VI announced for 2018

The game will contain both new and returning characters, with Mitsurugi and Sophitia being the two main characters confirmed at this point.

Last night, Bandai Namco Entertainment made several fighting game fans very happy with the announcement of SoulCaliber VI at The Game Awards.

The soul still burns in the 1998 3D arena sword fighter series, as this next entry is slated for a 2018 release, just in time for the franchise's 20 anniversary.

Soulcalibur VI has been announced in a surprise move from Bandai-Namco. Furthermore, fans have been speculating and anticipating a Soul Calibur VI announcement for almost two years. The developers say that the game is a return to the roots of the original and takes place in the 16th century.

Soulcalibur is considered one of the best fighting games of all time by many.

Hunt to Facebook: 'Stay away from my kids'
Facebook announced Messenger Kids today, insisting it was a response to the reality of who some of its users are. Once these parameters are set, kids can only see the approved contacts whether they are online or not.

The weapons and character roster is apparently "stellar" and even more so when "combined with a simple control layout".

Soul Calibur 6 is being developed on Unreal Engine, like Tekken 7 was.

Are you looking forward to the sixth in the series? Reversal Edge enables characters to clash against each other and follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on their opponent's actions.

Differing from those series, however, Soulcalibur VI will reinvent its traditional weapon-based combat with additional mechanics, characters and an "epic" story mode that boosts its cinematic value.

Soulcalibur VI will release in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
