Those with Pixel phones running Android 8.1 Oreo will have access to AR stickers like Foodmoji, 3D text and celebratory balloons and champagne just in time for the holidays. It's because the AR stickers are coded to only work on the Google Pixel phones, but the restrictions are actually fairly easy to spoof.

The only devices now running Android 8.1 are Google's Pixel and Pixel 2 phones, so you'll need one of those to get in on the fun. At the time, Google touted AR Stickers based on characters from the popular Netflix series, Stranger Things.

Depending on the area that you're pointing your camera at, you might have to move your phone around so that it can analyze the area. Before venturing into the Google camera app in search of AR Stickers, make sure that you have updated it. Individuals can update their apps through the Google Play Store, under the Update section. For instance, if you place Eleven next to a Demogorgon, they'll engage in a short battle. In this case, the first selection consists of Star Wars and Stranger Things characters.

AR Stickers are interactive stickers that you can drop into a scene on your camera which will then interact with each other and also the scenery. We haven't heard much about these stickers since the phones launched in October, but we're happy to report that they're finally here. The company has promised to release more sticker packs in the future.
