The best-selling author recently became the latest high-profile celebrity to be accused of sexual misconduct. He follows in the footsteps of Charlie Rose and Garrison Keillor, both men with long, celebrated careers ended by "multiple allegations" of harassment or other sexual misconduct.

Smiley also claims PBS "refused to provide me the names of any accusers, refused to speak to my current staff, and refused to provide me any semblance of due process to defend myself against allegations from unknown sources".
