An interesting detail is that being on the laptop, the screen of the Razer Phone will work as a touchpad or secondary screen. The company's product page explains the Razer Phone is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile processor.

Because it's still a concept, Project Linda doesn't have a release date or a price.

Designed for mobility, the unibody CNC aluminium chassis of Razer Project Linda is just 0.59-inch (15 mm) thin and weighs three pounds (1.25 kg) including the docked phone.

Right now, Razer says the concept is locked to the Razer Phone specifically, but there's no reason other smartphones couldn't hypothetically be used in the same way, at least as long as they fit into the touchpad slot on the wrist rest. The 5.7-inch glass display on the Razer Phone becomes the combined device's trackpad and its front-facing Dolby speakers provide sound.

Finally, Project Linda improves Android gaming and productivity.

Its 13.3-inch Quad HD touchscreen extends the 120 Hz experience available on the Razer Phone to a larger display, aiming to provide fluid motion and vibrant visuals.

Nvidia teams up with Uber and Volkswagen on self-driving vehicle tech
This is just one of the many partnerships that NVIDIA has inked to further its position in the self-driving technology arena. Buzz will be based on Volkswagen's Modular Electric Drive (MEB) platform, used across the Volkswagen Group range.

Connecting the Razer Phone to the Project Linda's dock offers a few unique benefits: 200GB of additional storage space, extra battery capacity, and the ability to use the docked phone as either a touchpad or a second screen.

We're accustomed to Razer's annual fun, brash CES prototypes turn into vaporware, and sometimes what the company shows us are barely functioning prototypes. There's also an assortment of expected laptop features, like a 720p webcam, audio jack and USB-A and USB-C ports.
