Battle for Azeroth releases this summer

Late a year ago, Blizzard announced WoW's next expansion, pitting the horde and alliance forces against each other once again in the "Battle for Azeroth". Once you have completed a few Alliance quests and earned yourself the respect of an Allied Race, you will unlock the ability to use that race in character creation. In order to gain access to these new races, however, players will need to have exalted reputation with certain factions before they gain a quest to unlock the respective races. The pre-purchase page also gives us a hint as to when Battle for Azeroth will be launching: a Summer 2018 release window with an "on or before September 21, 2018" stipulation. If you do decide to level up one of the new races from 20 to 110 will unlock a set of cosmetic gear known as Heritage Armor. When Battle for Azeroth was first announced, Blizzard showed off six new races: the Nightborne Elves, Highmountain Tauren and Zandalari Trolls are joining the Horde, while the Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei and Dark Iron Dwarves will be joining the Alliance. Once the race is available, players can then create their new character, and these new races will begin at level 20.

Whether you're fiercely battling other pets or simply want to put your feet up on its sturdy shell, Tottle the baby Tortollan pet's got you covered. Blizzard has been offering these instant boosts since Warlords of Draenor, the game's fifth expansion, was available for pre-purchase back in 2014.

Overwatch: Torbjorn gets Horde and Alliance voice lines, Tracer will have some new emotes, and everyone will have access to WoW-themed sprays and player icons.
