According to Today, the recall comes after the company previously issued a warning about its Gem 65 8-in-1 cooker having issues of overheating and melting.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of more than 100,000 Instant Pot-branded multi-cookers.

Double Insight got 107 reports of overheating, five resulting in minor property damage.

The Instant Pots sold for about $80 from August 2017 to January, the safety commission said.

If you have the Gem 65 8-in-1 model, you should immediately stop using it.

If your cooker has one of these codes on it, Instant Pot asks in their post that you stop using it.

The company is recalling the Gem 65 8-in-1 with batch codes 1728, 1730, 1731, 1734 and 1746. No injuries were reported. CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical or mechanical hazard. The batchcode is listed in the bottom right corner of the label.

The company says it anticipates providing more information and next steps on how to receive a replacement within the next few weeks.
