"Today, Panama has showcased stable institutions, rule of law and investor-friendly legal framework", Fintiklis said in a brief statement to the press.

It added that the spat will ultimately be settled by an arbitration panel under the International Chamber of Commerce.

He moved to pry management of the hotel from the hands of the Trump Organization, which does not own the property but has a contract to manage it until 2031.

A legal dispute over Trump's management contract at the hotel continues, but Monday's developments indicated Trump had effectively surrendered physical control of the property.

The Trump organization said Fintiklis resorted to "mob style tactics" by repeatedly attempting to "infiltrate and disrupt its computer systems and threatening and intimidating any employee of the Hotel that resisted".

The statement arrived a few hours after workers at the hotel had begun removing Trump's name from the property.

Smith's potential reinstatement to the NFL hinges on good behavior and adhering to the league's substance abuse policy. Smith has a long history of off-field incidents that have derailed his National Football League career, and his life.

These words are not to be taken lightly-the Trump Organization's management team has shown that it is not willing to vacate the property without a fight.

The most recent and intense feuding began February 22, when the Miami-based Fintiklis came to the property with termination notices for Trump's management team. The dispute between Fintiklis and the Trump staff has not only decimated occupancy rates at the hotel - once considered one of Ivanka's foremost projects - but threatened to become a spiraling controversy that could engulf the White House.

While Trump staffed up with additional security - stationing guards at the hotel's administrative offices for more than one week - the fight for physical control of the hotel ended quietly with the intervention by Panamanian authorities.

And as the final humiliation, Fintiklis ordered Trump's name to be ripped off from the outside of the hotel - check out ABC News' video footage of Trump's name being torn down below.

"Based upon the merits, Trump Hotels remains fully confident that it will not only prevail, but recover all of its damages, costs and attorneys' fees, including those damages, costs and attorneys' fees arising from today's events", the organization said.

In the days since, police had been called to the property multiple times to "keep the peace", the AP reported. More than a half dozen of Trump's security officials were seen leaving the hotel. Though Fintiklis has generally declined to comment on the dispute, he appeared to gloat Monday. He then began to play a tune on the piano in the hotel lobby, repeating a ritual that he had used to mark previous victories in the case.
