Matt Ryan has been a relatively small part of DC's Legends of Tomorrow season 3 as Constantine, but now it appears that the character is going to be a more permanent fixture of the live-action DC universe on the small screen. Over the course of its year-long tenure, Constantine managed to build a cult following that vocally cried for its renewal on social media once the news of its cancellation broke, but it simply wasn't enough to earn the chain-smoking exorcist another season.

Matt Ryan's depiction of John Constantine has experienced so many surprising twists in the afterlife it almost resembles a Hellblazer story arc.

Matt Ryan, who portrays DC Comics character John Constantine, has been promoted to series regular for a potential fourth season of Legends of Tomorrow.

Judge Enters Not Guilty Plea For Florida School Shooting Suspect
The defendant was arrested shortly after the shooting at the high school, which is the worst high school shooting in USA history. The school issued a statement saying the 19-year-old was expelled last year, but the reason behind that situation isn't clear.

With Constantine likely becoming a full-time Legend, he will continue to inject awkward and amusing complications in Sara and Ava's (Jes Macallan) relationship (which was over by the latest episode, by the way) because of his hook-up with the Waverider captain his previous appearance "Daddy Darkhest".

The CW has yet to announce any decisions regarding next season's slate and, that being the case, they haven't made any statements regarding the future of the Arrowverse and what shows will be back for the 2018-2019 season. So, Constantine fans eager for more of their anti-hero might want to get caught up.

Are you excited to see Constantine join the team full-time? Maybe this is a sign that season 4 also will feature the occult - or, maybe the writers of the series really just wanted a chance to have a little bit of fun with this character.
