When Hamlin bumped the No. 4 Ford, it was payback for similar treatment from Harvick, who was unabashed in his explanation of the initial contact with Hamlin's vehicle.

Hamlin ended up 12th while Harvick was fifth and Hamlin said he was simply bumping Harvick back after Harvick had bumped him before completing a pass.

Harvick denied intentionally brake-checking Hamlin. Ironically, the Kansas Jayhawks' most recent Final Four appearance was in 2012, just as Bowyer's most recent NASCAR Cup Series win was prior to Monday, so it would only make sense for him to be allowed to attend the historic event. "I should have known better, I should have made more aggressive notes and calls and made us better". I probably should have brake-checked him in the first place. "It was just light bumps, and he slammed on the brakes".

The damage to Hamlin's vehicle ruined a promising start at one of the driver's best tracks.

The jackman injured when struck during a pit stop for the No. 37 Chevrolet in Monday's STP 500 will undergo further testing in Charlotte, N.C., after he was released Monday night from a Martinsville, Va., area hospital.

It was a lackluster day for everyone but Clint Bowyer.

But Bowman improved from a 16th-place starting position to seventh at the finish in a vehicle that improved steadily throughout the day.

"The one thing I didn't want him to do is go through life not knowing about that".

"This is definitely a step in the right direction from where we've been the last couple races", he said.

Robert Ejnes, Executive Director of the umbrella group for French Jewish organizations, CRIF , told Hamodia that Mrs. A police source said he had convictions for rape and sexual assault.

(Crew chief) Greg (Ives) just made really good adjustments. "I told [Cash] this morning, I was like, 'Dammit, we've got to get our picture in victory lane.' He told me he wanted a checkered flag". He fell back out of the top five, and stayed in third for much of the rest of the race.

If Bowman had picked a track to produce his first top 10 of the season, Martinsville would have been an unlikely candidate. Its cars are threats to win now every week at every type of track, the only team that can truly say that. So proud of that and we'll get that short-track win sooner or later.

"How are we going to get it home?"

AJ Allmendinger couldn't run with the contenders in Monday's STP 500, but at least he could see them through his windshield.

The gap between Bowyer's last and latest triumph is the third longest in NASCAR, only surpassed by Bill Elliott (226 races) and Truex Jr.

The No. 14 vehicle led 215 of the 500 laps, including nearly the entire third stage, holding on for first place ahead of Kyle Busch. He finished eighth, second-best among Chevrolet drivers.

FINAL LAPS: It was no contest, really.

"I think we started off really well and made our auto better the first couple of runs and were able to win that stage there, and then the track got pretty tight there and took a bunch of rubber and we were just late adjusting on it", Blaney said.

"These are the places we know that we have a better chance at, and we have to take advantage of it".
