Fortnite gets vending machines and lots of explosions with new update

This week's Fortnite Week 7 challenge will have you scouring the map for the locations of Hidden Gnomes.

And while it might not be the flashiest addition to Battle Royale, the vending machines could have a major impact on the way the game is played.

Part of the fun with vending machines is the random nature of them. They act very similarly to treasure chests, which sometimes appear in their usual spot, but at other times they've vanished. You can tell each type of vending machine from a distance, and each one contains three items. Give it a few weeks and the hype will probably die down. The problem is that you need to find one to take advantage of the opportunity to buy weapons and items from them. As expected, there's at least one vending machine in almost every named location on the map. The rarity of the received item is shown on the vending machine's screen.

Islamic State claims it killed four Catholics in southern Pakistan
Monday's attack took place in Quetta city, the capital of Baluchistan province, which borders Iran as well as Afghanistan. In one such instance, ISIS-linked Islamist suicide bombers attacked a church in southwest Pakistan in December of 2017.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and iOS.

Marketed as a somewhat sillier Battle Royale game (because, come on, Easter egg grenade launchers?), Fortnite has gotten a lot more fans than its original concept, building fortresses to survive against zombies, would have ordinarily. I wouldn't call it "meta-changing", but it's certainly nice to have another use for all of those excess materials, which often end up getting wasted. Common items start at 100 materials, for example, while legendary items will set players back 500. The items that are sold will match the rarity that comes with it and there is no purchase limit.

But unfortunately, Epic Games don't just plonk it in the same place every game.
