Quarterback battle takes center stage on Alabama A-Day

The transfer train for Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts appears to be gaining some steam. However, that's now in the past and the Alabama Crimson Tide have begun working on putting themselves in a position to bring home the next one to the program. Hurts threw for 195 yards.

Jones, who was named the game's co-MVP with kicker Joseph Bulovas, threw for a game-high 289 yards on 23-of-35 passing and two touchdowns.

If Jalen Hurts hasn't received his degree from Alabama he'll have to sit out a year before being able to play anywhere. They were better in pass protection and production in performance, which is why they won the game.

"I was not disappointed in the way (Hurts) played", Alabama coach Nick Saban said.

Both Hurts and Tagovailoa have proven to be worthy competitors for the job: Hurts is 26-2 as a starter and Tagovailoa came off the bench to help the Tide win the College Football Playoff championship game against Georgia last seasons. He competed a deep ball to Devonta Smith that went for 59 yards. Marks had 85 yards and a score, whole Townsend had 65 yards and a touchdown. Raekwon David had eight tackles, including two for loss, and two sacks.

Man Arrested After Breaking Into Taylor Swift's New York City Apartment
Swift also had another crazed stalker show up at the mansion wearing a mask and rubber gloves .Now that is scary. Back in February, Alvarado was arrested at that same NY address for using a shovel to break open the front door.

"Well, we had the first offense playing against the first defense, so I thought the second offense was a little better against the second defense", Saban told reporters after the game, via The Tuscaloosa News' Cecil Hurt. I'm not necessarily satisfied where we are, and I don't think anyone on our team should be satisfied where we are. "I hope every individual can point to something that can improve their performance".

Saban added, "I think that he has a good understanding of the offense, and his ability to make decisions and trust the pocket are things that we want him to work on".

"I was encouraged by how he did all spring long", Saban said. Alabama opens the 2018 season on September 1, facing Louisville in Orlando.

The announced attendance was 74,732.
