Kyle Busch Continues to Win in Richmond

"They're awesome every week and I love racing with these guys and Joe Gibbs Racing".

This evening, the NASCAR circuit will have its first night race of the season on what is typically one the of most competitive tracks on the schedule. (Crew chief) Adam Stevens and my guys did a phenomenal job. "That's really special. We did that in '15 and nearly won four in a row. They're winning by being up front and putting themselves in position, and tonight they probably won on pit road".

"And it came down to a late-race restart". Busch himself won three straight Cup races in 2015, claiming checkered flags at Kentucky, New Hampshire and Indianapolis after missing the first 11 races of the 2015 season because of injury. Next race: Geico 500, April 29, Talladega Superspeedway, Talladega, Alabama.

Kyle Busch celebrates in victory lane after winning the Toyota Owners 400. I don't know. Somebody come and watch us and tell us.

"We'll see what we can do..."

"I think it's easier to win the Powerball than to win at Talladega". The victory was Busch's fifth Richmond win, and his third consecutive win this season.

When the race restarted with six laps to go, Busch had come out of the pits first.

"We still have a lot of work to do...to have the speed that we need to drive it like we want it to", Elliott said. "So, it was nice to be on the good end of things for the first time in a while".

"I think it certainly was different tonight", Busch added.

Seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson continued to show improvement as he finished sixth in his Hendrick Chevy. He couldn't get the win, but he completed the race with a top-five finish.

"We're just kind of missing a little bit", he said of the difference. Martin Truex Jr. had an agonizing day after leading a race-high 121 laps.

Grassley Pushes Back at McConnell's Effort to Block Mueller Bill
"I don't think he should fire Mueller and I don't think he's going to", he said in the interview. They introduced the new bill along with Democratic Sens.

While running second, he pitted on Lap 390. It was Truex back out front with Bowyer and Harvick within a second of him.

"Pretty disappointed that we didn't at least get a chance", Truex said.

Richmond is an impound race, meaning that the teams do not have a typical happy hour practice session due to the cars being impounded following qualifying. We were bad at the start of the race and I thought we were really in trouble. Allison, meanwhile, went into the race as the point leader but got tangled up in an accident with Ernie Irvan.

(32) Kyle Busch, Toyota, 402. Chesterfield's Denny Hamlin finished third. Chase Elliott, Chevrolet, 402 3. However, Truex was closing in, with Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick not that far off. Matt DiBenedetto 28. Brad Keselowski 29. Kurt Busch finished in 10th.

That wouldn't be the end of the trouble either, as Jamie McMurray and Ryan Newman encountered some difficulties. Erik Jones, Toyota, 402 14. Other short odds to prevail are Kevin Harvick (9/2),Denny Hamlin (5/1) and Martin Truex Jr. Additionally, he is starting eighth and likely will have a setup that is similar to his teammate Kyle Larson. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 13. Chris Buescher 20. Paul Menard 21. Darrell Waltrip and Rusty Wallace dominated the win column early in 1989 with three victories each. Cole Whitt was also involved.

(24) Michael McDowell, Ford, 400.

Richard Childress Racing driver Daniel Hemric has 49 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and 41 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series - all without a victory. AJ Allmendinger 34. Gray Gaulding 35.

Average Speed of Race Winner: 96.215 miles per hour.

The final 100 laps were something of struggle for the 19-year-old driver, after two 75-lap stages were already in the books.

Lead Changes: 16 among 7 drivers.

On lap 323, Truex was passed by both Harvick and his teammate Bowyer. 391; Kyle Busch 392-402. Clint Bowyer, Ford, 402, Led 45 10.
