Turbulence Causes a Window Panel To Fall Off An Indian Aeroplane

A Newsagency ANI tweeted the video by saying, "Air India flight from Amritsar to Delhi experienced severe turbulence and three passengers sustained minor injuries". The SIA Flight 424 hit sudden turbulence while landing in Mumbai, leaving 22 passengers and crew injured.

The video, captured from within the plane during the period of turbulence, shows a terrified woman sat in her seat as one of the plane's air hostesses trying to fix the broken window panel. "AI and Directorate General of Civil Aviation is probing it", an official at the airline said.

Unfortunately, the weather was really poor and the turbulence hit the plane very soon after take-off, whilst the plane was only at an altitude of around 15,000 feet. A window panel also fell off. A senior Air India official told The Times of India that the DGCA is investigating the incident, and that the AAIB has been informed.

The turbulence was said to have lasted from around 10 to 12 minutes, with three passengers being treated for injury on arrival.

Other settlers stormed the Bethlehem district site of Solomon's Pools and the Ramallah-district village of al-Mazraa al-Gharbiya. The atmosphere near Gaza City was festive Friday, even as protesters clashed with Israeli troops at the fence.

While the window panel broke, there was no damage to the outside window hence there was no de-pressurisation. But in another interview, less than a fortnight ago, Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran said that the group would consider if adding another airline to its aviation business would make sense to its business prospects.

One of the three passengers received stitches while the other two received minor injuries. She then holds the passenger's face, in an apparent attempt to calm her and check her well-being.

Jennifer Riordan, 43, a mother-of-two from Albuquerque, US, was returning from a business trip aboard the NY to Dallas flight when the plane's left engine exploded sending shrapnel flying into a window next to her seat.

Travellers were left fearing for their lives after a jet window hours right after a woman died after she was sucked out of another airplane was split by turbulence.
