National Basketball Association playoffs 2018: Kerr not happy with first quarter

After suffering a hamstring injury at the end of the Houston Rockets' Game 5 contest against the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, Chris Paul was forced to sit out Game 6.

But coach Mike D'Antoni said he had "no idea" whether star point guard Chris Paul would be able to play after suffering a hamstring strain in game five.

"Kind of play it by ear right now", D'Antoni added.

The Rockets have not qualified for the Finals since 1995 when they won the second of back-to-back titles, the only two titles in franchise history.

The Rockets led the Warriors by as much as 17 in the first half, but were outscored 64-25 in the second half. We know what we have to do.

"He's just been getting treatment and trying to make sure it calms down and everything", D'Antoni stated.

LeBron James and the Twilight of the Cavaliers
Not typically one to be outdone, it was James from start to finish in Game 6, and it's fair to assume there will be more to come. It was another elimination-game performance Cavs coach Tyronn Lue attributed to "greatness" and a "championship pedigree".

For just a while, it seemed like maybe, just maybe, we were headed for the unthinkable. As of Monday morning, 67 percent of public bets are being placed on visiting Golden State.

The Warriors have never lacked confidence in this series, even while falling into a 3-2 deficit. Meanwhile, the Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss of more than 10 points and 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss.

Andre Iguodala has not played since game 3 of this series after exiting that game after colliding knees with James Harden. Center Kevon Looney (sore left toe) is also questionable, but the Warriors remain undeterred. The Warriors are one of the best third quarter teams in the National Basketball Association and they came out from a 10-point halftime deficit and turned it into a 7-point advantage.

"He just told me to slow down", Curry said. The Warriors defense turned into offense. When the Warriors get rolling, the only thing that appears capable of slowing their progress is their own complacency.

"Obviously we want to have him", Rockets forward PJ Tucker said. Yes, we have back to back Game 7s! You can optionally download the newly revamped Watch TNT app onto your mobile phone or tablet and use your subscriber login to access the Rockets Warriors Game 7 live stream.

If the Rockets are going to take their best final shot at the Warriors, it may as well be at home. The point guard remains a game-time decision going into the 7th and final game of their series with the Golden State Warriors. Finishing the series with a victory won't be easy, but it will be made easier hosting that showdown in Houston.
