The press conference opened up with something pretty big - a new Pokemon game available for Nintendo Switch and smartphones. Both versions will launch internationally on November 16. Stay tuned for more about Pokemon Let's GO Pikachu, Let's Go Eevee, and Pokemon Quest as more is announced. The new game, which appears to take inspiration from the Pokemon Rumble series, is called Pokemon Quest, and the official Pokemon Twitter account has a lot to say about it. You'll also be able to trade Pokemon with other players, though Masuda did not comment on whether the Let's Go games would be compatible with other Pokemon games (past or future) or Pokemon Bank. You can use it like a Joy Con to control your Switch, or use it to search for Pokemon on the go without opening your phone. They're created to capitalize on the blockbuster success of the Pokemon Go smartphone game and a solid year of sales for the Switch tablet-hybrid gaming machine.

On top of this Pokemon can also be moved between the Pokemon GO mobile game, although it's not clear if this includes any sort of trading mechanic with fellow players. Like in Go, you can see Pokemon in the overworld before attempting to catch them. Quest can be downloaded now on the eShop and in by the end of June in the app stores, and is a free-to-start title.

Ireland overturns abortion ban in landslide vote
The vast majority of voters did not change their minds on how they planned to vote during the campaign, the exit poll suggested. Leo Varadkar accused campaigners opposing a referendum on liberalising Ireland's abortion regime of trying to dupe voters.

That certainly makes it sound like Oha Suta is gearing up to deliver the first real details on Pokemon for Nintendo Switch. The role-playing game will be followed next year by a more ambitious Pokemon-based title that will debut in the second half of 2019, Nintendo said.
