DxOMark: Xiaomi Mi 8 beats the Samsung Galaxy S9+ in still shots

To be available as of June 5th at an affordable price of CNY 169, which converts to United States $26 or €22, the successor of the popular Mi Band 2, predictably called the Xiaomi Mi Band 3, got plenty of upgrades, including a bigger and sharper 0.78-inch OLED screen with 128x80 resolution.

Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE resembles the standard Mi 8 SE with a slightly smaller display along with an all-glass design.

Xiaomi just launched its flagship for the year, the Xiaomi Mi 8 at a launch event in Shenzhen.

The camera, while it looks good on paper, has never been Xiaomi's forte, but this one (well, these ones) look pretty impressive, with the company claiming a DxOMark score of 105 points. The Mi Mix 2S features this chip as well. The smaller phone gets a 20-MP user-facing camera and a 12-MP main camera on the rear that's augmented by depth information from a 5-MP sensor.

The Mi 8 measures in at 154.9x74.8x7.6mm, and weighs 175 grams. The Mi 8 SE will be available in two variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and the other one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

Along with apparent design cues from iPhone X, the limited-edition Xiaomi smartphone also comes with an in-display fingerprint reader and so-called 3D face unlock technology, which is like the Android version of Apple's Face ID function on its latest mobile phones.

How Amazon plans to block Australians from using popular feature
A spokesman for Amazon said customers would be able to use a new derivative of its brand, Amazon Global. New Zealand had also already applied GST to digital services from offshore, such as Netflix in 2016.

"The most obvious feature of the Mi 8 is the notched 6.21" (15.8 cm) Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2248x1080, which translates into an odd-duck 18.7:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density just over 400 PPI.

Other than that, the SE is every bit the same phone as the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer edition, with the same software, cameras, and dual-frequency Global Positioning System.

Xiaomi Mi 8 vs SE vs Explorer Edition: What's the difference? The device also features a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 1.8-micron pixel size. Meanwhile the Mi 8 SE comes in at 1,799 yuan ($281). Honor 10 also has face unlock with a home button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be made available with 6GB RAM and a choice of 6GB, 128GB or 256GB built-in storage.

Firstly, the regular Mi 8 is fairly self-explanatory.

The Mi 8 is priced at $421 for the basic model and $577 for the Explorer. The phone is powered by a 3400 mAh battery.

Coming to the camera, the Mi 8 SE has a 12MP + 5MP configuration while the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition get the 12MP + 12MP upgrade.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE features a 5.88-inch display, but it's still AMOLED.
