Liverpool are set to complete the signing of Nabil Fekir on Friday after meeting Lyon's €60m (£53m) valuation of the France global.

The Liverpool Echo report that the two clubs have finally hashed out a deal for the Frenchman, with a medical expected to take place on Friday.

Anfield officials will continue negotiations on Friday, increasingly hopeful of a deal before the 24-year-old heads for World Cup duty.

Liverpool want to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible and announce Fekir's arrival over the course of the weekend.

Liverpool have already signed Fabinho from Monaco for £43.7m this summer, while Naby Keita is also arriving after a deal was agreed with RB Leipzig last summer.

Sky Sports ( SKYAY ) and BT Sport (BT) won the rights earlier this year to broadcast most Premier League matches starting in 2019. The other 180 televised matches will be broadcast by Sky Sports and BT Sport, which have aired the Premier League in the past.

But Aulas has revealed that the transfer is not close and is unlikely to happen before the start of the World Cup next Thursday. "(We) have not set a base price because we have not discussed this yet".

Didier Deschamps' team play the United States in Lyon on Saturday in their final warm-up game before the finals.

Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the French worldwide - but Liverpool are now in the driving seat.

A fee has yet to be revealed, although it is rumoured that Liverpool will have to pay around €65m (£57m approx) to make Fékir their second summer signing.

Shaqiri, 26, has a release clause of just £12m after Stoke were relegated to the Championship.
