Philadelphia 76ers: 3 questions surrounding reported offer for Kawhi Leonard

James has until late Friday night to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and is watching closely how the Lakers proceed with the Leonard talks.

All of that has turned up the heat on the Lakers to trade for Leonard, who has made it no secret he wants out of San Antonio. It has always been expected that Brown would have to be the centerpiece of any Boston package for Leonard, along with next year's Sacramento pick. However, Sean Deveney of Sporting News painted a different picture on Wednesday morning, reporting the "league executives aren't so sure" the Lakers must acquire top-end talent from outside the organization before James arrives.

The Boston Celtics have made an offer for Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, according to ESPN. They'd likely be happy to deal some of their young players like Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma if they were certain they could land two of the three with LeBron, Leonard, and Paul George, but that does not appear to be a guarantee at this time.

Israeli PM's wife Sara Netanyahu is charged with fraud
Netanyahu has denied any wrongdoing, dismissing the accusations against him and his wife as a media witch hunt . Other former employees have accused her of mistreatment, charges the Netanyahus have vehemently denied.

Acquiring a player with the skill set of Leonard certainly won't be easy since the Sixers would most likely have to give a lot up in a potential trade, but if it gives them a better chance of competing in the Eastern Conference, it may be worth the risk.

Don't expect the Spurs to panic trade Leonard like the Cavaliers did with Kyrie Irving. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said on "The Rich Eisen Show" that it's unlikely Gregg Popovich would coach one of Lavar Ball's sons with the Spurs. He played in just nine games this season because of the quad problem, and questions about whether he could and should have played more strained his relationship with the Spurs. Free agency is days away, and reports suggest James wants to make his free agency decision quickly. If the Spurs wait too long, James and George can make their decisions, and the Lakers could move on from Leonard, knowing they may sign him next summer.
