After weeks of speculation, Amazon has confirmed that this year's day of deals is actually a day and a half, offering 36 hours of deals starting at midday on 16 July and running until midnight on 17 July.

The 36-hour event, which starts on 16 July at 12pm and ends on 17 July, will offer shopping deals and exclusives on items such as electronics, groceries, toys, office supplies and everyday essentials. As with before, it will feature more than one million deals for Prime members around the world.

Akshay Sahi, head of Amazon Prime in India, said that the number of Prime members have doubled since the last Prime Day sale in 2017, which calls for an even bigger event this year.
