We Finally Know Why Ant-Man Wasn’t In Avengers: Infinity War

Like most of its brethren, Ant-Man and the Wasp has two scenes buried in the credits: one near the start, and another at the bitter end.

Now a couple of months on, and with the literal dust having settled on that movie, it's time to pick things up with Ant-Man and his new partner in fighting crime, the Wasp, to see just what they've been doing and, perhaps, how it connects to Infinity War.

This allows Reed to give us not only a amusing film but a movie that moves at the flawless pace without being bogged down by "explaino" scenes. Scott shrinks down to a tiny size in order to enter the Quantum Realm and retrieve samples.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is now playing everywhere.

The second post-credits scene, featuring a giant ant playing the drums, manages to be both amusing and chilling, before the movie ends with a reassuring statement - "Ant-Man and The Wasp will return" - that quickly turns ominous when a question mark appears at the end, rendering that observation a little less certain. It's all very impressive, but it's also nice to take a little breather once in awhile and enjoy some good old-fashioned, low-stakes superhero action - and fittingly, that's just where Marvel's smallest heroes come in. The TV is showing only the "Emergency Broadcast System" signal - probably as a result of the mayhem caused by Thanos.

LeBron James agrees to 4-year, $154 million deal with Lakers
But the Warriors obtained Kevin Durant after that loss and Golden State has gone 8-1 against the Cavs in the two NBA Finals since. Joel Embiid has made it no secret that he'd love LeBron James to link up with himself and Ben Simmons in Philly next season.

Director Peyton Reed told TheWrap that in figuring out what the Quantum Realm could be and where it could lead, he realized the possibilities were endless. It does make sense that someone who created a universe with aliens and superheroes would have some psychedelic experiences in his past.

This movie does have some hints that provide links to Avengers 4, with one of the fan theories being not so subtly confirmed.

The plan, Janet explains to Scott, is for him to take a healing particle into the subatomic quantum realm to help "cure our ghost friend".

With abilities like that, or with the quantum particles he harvested (and, maybe, can continue to harvest), there's a whole new list of potential failsafes against the Infinity Stones. Marvel fans looking for something to take the edge off may find themselves embracing the adventures of the charming duo that is Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly.

"The Quantum Realm is a really intriguing environment and character in the MCU". Like dozens of characters in Avengers: Infinity War, they have disintegrated and floated away.
