Progressive challenges no longer run out at the end of a season, with players able to complete them at their own pace rather than having to rush. The rear passengers can even work together with the driver to jump over obstacles on the map by leaning back and then releasing at the same time for a higher jump.

All-terrian golf carts, portals to spirit players around the map and a whole host of new features launched Thursday as the fifth season of Fortnite went live.

The season 5 patch includes some of the biggest map changes since the introduction of Tilted Towers and other locations in season 3. We also know the update will add in the two skins featured in the image below, which seem to support the theory that the update will be themed around multiple worlds and time periods colliding. If that wasn't enough, the roof also acts as a bounce pad. Epic has brought some of them down to earth in the form of Rifts.

Circles 7, 8, and 9 could now move in random directions, rather than just plainly shrinking - "As the storm closes in, it will move & shrink to the new location", says Epic. This should provide players with more information on why their point blank hits are only registering small damages.

We Finally Know Why Ant-Man Wasn’t In Avengers: Infinity War
This movie does have some hints that provide links to Avengers 4 , with one of the fan theories being not so subtly confirmed. The TV is showing only the "Emergency Broadcast System" signal - probably as a result of the mayhem caused by Thanos.

The patch notes details a lot of tweaks that have been made to the game such as adjusted.shotgun spread patterns, heavy shotguns now firing 10 pellets instead of 5 along with bug fixes. There will now be a delay when players switch from firing one shotgun to another.

One of the big changes is the introduction of a desert biome which replaces the swamp area that was found in the south east area of the map. "Fortnite" players will now earn XP when they revive their teammates in 50vs50 and Teams of 20 matches, according to Engadget.
