Luiz set to stay at Chelsea

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he was impressed by Blues striker Alvaro Morata's latest pre-season showing against Inter Milan.

Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Michy Batshuayi still have one week remaining after Belgium beat England in the World Cup third-place playoff on July 14, while club captain Gary Cahill is also away for another seven days. When asked how he feels physically now, the Brazilian smiled and replied: "I had a lot of time to take care of me, so now I'm 100 percent".

The Brazilian is hopeful of getting more game under Sarri's regime, having come up against the 59-year-old when both were plying their trade in Serie A.

'I came back to Chelsea to stay here, ' said Luiz, who is contracted until 2019 following his move from Paris-Saint Germain two years ago.

I love this philosophy.

"Otherwise we risk to play for 90 minutes with 75 per cent ball possession but without scoring". He's trying to help us every single day to learn quickly his philosophy, to do our best for Chelsea. But it also depends on us. "If we're dedicated every day and doing things every single day in training, we're trying to learn quickly".
