North Korea is working on new missiles

USA intelligence officials familiar Pyongyang's operations say that new evidence, including recent satellite photos, suggest the regime is producing at least one liquid-fueled ICBM at a research facility.

The Washington Post reported that North Korea appeared to be building one or two new liquid-fuelled ICBMs at the large research facility on the outskirts of Pyongyang.

Senior North Korean officials have also discussed trying to deceive the U.S. on its weapons program, according to The Post's latest report.

During a historic summit with Trump in June, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un vowed to "work toward" the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Of course, there is no direct evidence North Korea is doing this.

A new report suggests that North Korea has continued to build new missiles, despite ongoing talks with the Trump administration.

The regime has continued to assemble intercontinental ballistic missiles at a plant near Pyongyang, The Washington Post reported Monday, citing people familiar with USA intelligence.

Gen. Kim Do Gyun said he's confident the talks would produce "achievements that South and North Korea and the global community want", according to South Korean media pool reports from the venue.

"Fear not, Senator", Pompeo said, responding to a question on whether Kim had deceived the US.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach hailed North Korea's efforts to ease tensions in the region, calling their decision to take part in the Games "a powerful message of peace" to the world.

The football-field-size building surrounded by a high wall and high-rise residential towers was externally completed by 2003, according to historical satellite photos, and USA intelligence agencies believe it has been operational for at least 10 years.

Reports had indicated that North Korea was upgrading its only official nuclear enrichment site, and was stepping up enrichment at other secret sites.

The North Koreans are publicly dismantling an engine test stand at the Sohae Satellite Launching Station.
